Singapore welcomes President Muizzu with special ceremony

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed have been welcomed by the President and Prime Minister of Singapore during their first official visit to the country.

During his visit to Singapore at the invitation of President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President Muizzu was honored with a ceremonial guard of honor at the official welcome ceremony.

Singapore’s First Lady met with First Lady Sajidha Mohamed at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong also held bilateral talks with President Muizzu.

To mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Singapore, President Muizzu presented a commemorative book during the visit.

Several MoUs between the two countries are expected to be signed as part of the official visit.
