A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between Dharumavantha Hospital and Children's Hospital of Soochow University, China.
In a post on X, Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, which operates Dharumavantha Hospital, said that this is an important step forward in Maldives' efforts to advance children's surgical care, and to further develop health services.
The hospital said that the objective of this MOU is to contribute towards further enhancing children's wellbeing through sharing information and expertise from health experts.
The tertiary hospital being built in Vilimale' is also being developed through a Chinese grant.
