Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has said that the Eid Ufaa 1446 festival will be celebrated at a national level in the Male' area, in collaboration with various state agencies.
The three-day celebration begins on Friday, Eid day, and will be held across multiple venues, including Sultan Park, Republic Square, Central Park, and Hiyaa Park in Hulhumale'. Events will take place daily from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and from 8:30 pm onwards.
According to MNDF, the festival will feature a wide range of games, cultural displays, and sports activities catering to all age groups, especially children. Stalls set up by ministries, government agencies, and private businesses will highlight Maldivian heritage and traditional games, each with unique themes and interactive elements.
MNDF will also showcase its equipment and services, including a display of uniforms, operational weapons, land and sea vehicles, and photo opportunities. The celebration will feature MNDF band performances, a foam bath pool, and various activities.
In addition to events in Male', major Eid celebrations will also be held in Haa Alif Kelaa, Kaafu Guraidhoo, and Laamu Gan, with many residents already traveling to these islands for the festivities
