Bangladeshi national stabbed and injured last night

A foreign national was stabbed and injured in an incident that occurred in Male' during the early hours last night.

According to police, the stabbing took place around 3:10 am on Shaheed Kudanevi Thuthumaniku Hingun, near Symphony Restaurant.

The victim is a 31-year-old Bangladeshi man who sustained injuries during the altercation and is currently undergoing surgery at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

The extent of his injuries has not yet been disclosed.

The incident was the result of a clash between a group of locals and a group of foreigners. However, the cause of the altercation remains unclear. Police have not provided further details regarding the case.
