Police have announced that they will be strengthening security measures following the Male'-Hulhumale' power outage that began at around 12:45pm today.

After electricity was restored following the five hour powercut, at around 6:30pm, Police announced on X that until the electricity issues are entirely resolved and a state of normalcy is regained, they will be conducting special security efforts.

Police have also commenced an investigation in to the power outage on instructions of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
