Maldives Post has warned of a scam being conducted where the scammers ask for delivery addresses to deliver parcels, claiming they are from Maldives Post.

The scam has emerged at a time when many are expressing concerns of delays in receiving packages from Temu and other such platforms as Alha Eid approaches.

In a post of Facebook, Maldives Post stated that they do not send messages to any customers to clarify delivery addresses. They urged customers to refrain from clicking links sent via messages so as to protect their personal and financial information.

The scam involves sending a message to customers saying that they have failed to deliver the packages due to being provided a wrong delivery address. The message then provides a link, asking customers to update their delivery address within six hours of receiving the message.

It then goes on to say that an additional fee will be charged if the address is not updated within the given window.

Maldives Post confirmed that this is a fake message, and cautioned customers to be wary of such scams.
