CPEX Maldives has clarified that although customers may receive notifications indicating that their Temu packages have arrived at pick-up points, it may take additional time before the parcels are ready for collection.

The statement comes amid growing public concern over delays in receiving Temu orders ahead of the upcoming Eid holidays. Many customers have taken to social media and contacted post office, frustrated that parcels shown as “arrived” on tracking systems still haven’t been handed over.

CPEX, a cargo and freight forwarder, said that the notification means the parcels have reached the post office, but due to the large volume of orders and space constraints, processing and distribution are taking longer.

“Even if the website shows that the parcel is at the pickup point, customers are advised to wait for the official SMS from the post office before attempting to collect their packages,” CPEX said in a statement.

According to CPEX, it may take 3–5 days after the parcel arrives for the official pickup message to be sent.

Temu, a major Chinese e-commerce platform, launched in Maldives in late May. Initially, orders were delivered in about five days, but current demand has pushed average delivery times to around 15 days, raising concerns about timely arrivals for holiday shopping.
