The social media presence of "Just Married" has disappeared after the wedding decoration business got accused of scamming customers by a customer.

Just Married's Facebook page went missing after a woman named Nadha took to social media accusing the business of taking money from her and her groom for wedding decorations and catering, without paying the respective vendor. The post sparked public outrage directed towards the business, as well as the caterer, who is accused of withholding food during the wedding reception to get Just Married to pay what was owed to them, despite the food being already prepared.

Sometime last night, local media outlet Mihaaru reported the news, and Just Married vanished soon after.

According to Nadha, they paid Just Married MVR 20,000 on April 1 for the decorations of their wedding which took place at House of Jade. This package included catering for 200 people as well. They also paid a balance of MVR 14,500 and another MVR 7,500 to increase the invitee count by another 50, on May 13.

Nadha said only MVR 2,000 was remaining, which was agreed to be paid after the wedding.

Based on the information available on the Economic Ministry's portal, Just Married is not a registered business. The page, which was only run on Facebook, was active until last night. However, it has since been deactivated.

Police said they are looking into the accusations.

After Nadha posted their ordeal, others took to the comment section of the post to share that they too, had similar experiences with Just Married, adding that they had reported the owner, which has been identified as Mohamed Humain.

According to one commenter, they ended up spending MVR 145,000 for decorations and catering due to Just Married. The person also said they reported Humain to the authorities.

Another person said the same thing happened to their child's wedding in 2023.

The reviews on Just Married's page were also negative.
