President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated that children are the peace of every heart and the foundation of national continuity, adding that the proper upbringing of children is the strongest assurance for a prosperous future.

In a message to commemorate International Children's Day, President Muizzu highlighted the importance of fostering respectful, compassionate children grounded in good manners and ethical conduct across all areas of life.

He called on all Maldivians to unite in protecting children from harmful influences and ensuring that they are offered education and training that are both contemporary and future-focused, providing them with the necessary values and skills to serve their country with honour.

Highlighting the need for a balanced approach to education, the President stressed the importance of instilling both modern skills and timeless values.

President Muizzu expressed his hope that these children would carry forward the nation's glory and dignity in the years to come, embracing Islamic principles and leadership.

President Muizzu also encouraged children to engage in continuous self-improvement and lifelong learning, urging them to perform their daily prayers, deepen their understanding of Islam, and respect Maldivian culture and traditions.
