MWSC introduces fine write off plan for overdue bills

Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has introduced an additional plan to write off fines for long-overdue bills for both households and businesses.

According to the company, fines incurred up to December 31, 2024 would be written off for both domestic and commercial tariff customers under the new programme.

However, the leniency would be granted on the condition that the full amount due on the bills are paid between May 1 and December 31 of this year.

The opportunity is now available for customers who are willing to pay their dues in instalments monthly under an agreement.
