Maldives Immigration has cautioned travellers that there are a number of fake portals issuing the traveller declaration form 'IMUGA' which has to filled by foreigners coming to Maldives.
Immigration said that these portals, a website names IMUGA application, IMUGA Online, and IMUGAMaldives dot net, are a scam attempting to charge individuals for the form.
Immigration stated that the Traveller Declaration form is completely free of charge, and advised travellers against using fake or third party websites.
IMUGA forms can be submitted 96 hours before arriving in Maldives, and need to be filled by all foreigners visiting the country.
The form is available through the official Immigration website, at imuga.immigration.gov.mv/traveller.
