On this Civil Servants Day, Civil Service Commission President Mohamed Nasih has called on civil servants to ensure that services are provided transparently.
He also noted that it is his hope to provide salary increments to all working in the civil service. He said that pay harmony would lead to civil servants' work satisfaction, hence increasing productivity. It would also bring a solution to current issues faced in finding qualified persons to fill civil service jobs.
With Civil Service Day coinciding with International Workers Day, Nasih called on civil servants to ensure that services are provided earnestly, within the Civil Service Act, regulations and ethical standards.
He urged them to ensure the civil service maintains public trust and confidence.
"We should help each other to reach our goals, and work together amicably. Create a culture of working together in this way. Aspire to become skilled workers who provide fast and quality service," he said.
