Police have said today that they have been unable to obtain any CCTV footage from Transport Minister Mohamed Ameen's building of residence, Ma. Maandhooge Dhekunuge.

CCTV footage from Maandhooge Dhekunuge was sought as this was the first house that Hawwa Yumnu Rasheed and those accompanying her had visited on the night of her fall from a building.

On April 18, Yumnu was found fallen on to the roof of a warehouse at H. Mitaaz from what Police have said is a fanlight on the 9th floor stairwell of adjacent building, H. Fentenoy.

Maandhooge Dhekunuge is a building registered to Transport Minister Ameen and three of his siblings.

Police stated tonight that they have not received any footage from this building. They said that they were told the CCTV cameras in the building were out of service. Police added that they had made the necessary checks to ensure that this was the case.

Earlier, Police have conducted a search of the terrace, second and fourth floors of Maandhooge Dhekunuge and the third floor of Kashivelige. However, no items related to the incident were found at any of these locations, Police said then. Yumnu and the group with her had visited both these houses before she went to H. Fentenoy, accompanied by Raudh Ahmed Zilal.

Raudh has since been arrested by police, with the Criminal Court then placing him in remand in custody for a period of five days. The five day period is due to end tomorrow.
