Male' City Council seeks contractor to develop City Park

Male' City Council has announced that they are seeking a contractor to develop the Galolhu City Park to accommodate entertainment and sports activities.

The City Park was closed for renovation in 2022. Although the council had plans at the time to develop the park, no work was done to renovate it.

In an announcement today, the Council said that they are seeking a contractor to take up phase 2 work in the development of the park. Interested parties must send in applications before 9am on May 8.

The Sports Area of the park will have a badminton court and 3 on 3 basketball court, according to plans.

The ground level of the Sports Arena will provide parking for 102 motorcycles, and two commercial slots.

The Council plans to affix embedded lights on the wall of the park in the dark lane between the park and Salahudheen Mosque, which will provide adequate light to the lane, ensuring its security.
