Masjid Al Nabawi Imam and Khateeb Sheikh Salah Al-Budair has led Friday prayers at the Islamic Centre today.
During his sermon, he called on the people to stay united, as disunity is discouraged in Islam.
In his sermon, the Sheikh advised the people to promote love and kindness within the community, towards people as well as animals. He said that Allah has warned disunity may lead to cowardice and defeat amongst society.
He urged the people to stay on the path of moderation in religion, and to be kind towards each other. To spread knowledge, help the poor and needy, respect elders, be kind towards children, and assist in the reintegration of those in lives of crime through leading them to the righteous path.
He encouraged charity and assisting others as much as one is able.
Sheikh Salah Al-Budair also warned against spreading rumours and defaming those around you.
Sheikh Salah Al-Budair has served as Imam at Masjid Al Nabawi for 28 years. The Islamic Centre today housed a large congregation gathered to pray alongside him.
