President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has today nominated Civil Service Commission (CSC) member Mohamed Mujuthaz for the post of CSC Vice President.

The President sent a letter to parliament today seeking parliament approval for the appointment.

The position of CSC Vice President became vacant when Ibrahim Rasheed resigned from the post.

Mujuthaz was appointed to the commission on Sunday to fill the vacant member position.

He has previously served as the MP for Hanimaadhoo in the 17th parliament. He holds a Bachelors of Law from the Maldives College of Higher Education. He later filled the position of State Minister at President's Office during the administration of former President Abdulla Yameen.
