President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has urged government projects to be implemented with speed and transparency.
President Muizzu requested his ministers during a working meeting of the cabinet held yesterday to share updates and discuss the ongoing infrastructure development projects prioritised by the government.
The President's Office said the meeting also discussed the projects being run by state-owned companies.
During the meeting, the president urged to speed up projects, and to provide frequent updates as much as possible to the public and ensure transparency, the President's Office said.
The companies consulted were:
- State Trading Organization (STO)
- Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO).
- FENAKA
- Road Development Corporation (RDC)
- Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC)
- Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC)
During the meeting, the President asked the projects to be completed on schedule and clarified the requirements for completion of the projects, the President's Office also said.
Additionally, the meeting discussed how to facilitate the requests made by MDs of the companies, and the smooth running of the projects, the office said.
