Ministry of Finance has announced today that they are seeking contractors to build housing units on 57 islands through government funding.
The ministry is seeking parties who will proceed with the project on a design and build model.
The ministry said that a contractor would be selected within International Competitive Bidding (ICB) processes, in compliance with the Public Finance Act.
The islands where the housing units are to be built are:
- HA. Ihavandhoo - 100 housing units
- HDh. Nellaidhoo - 60 housing units
- HDh. Makunudhoo - 100 housing units
- N. Kendhikulhudhoo - 100 housing units
- R. Maduvvari - 100 housing units
- R. Inguraidhoo - 100 housing units
- B. Thulhaadhoo - 100 housing units
- Lh. Hinnavaru - 100 housing units
- M. Dhiggaru - 75 housing units
- Th. Vilufushi - 100 housing units
- GDh. Gahdhoo - 100 housing units
- S. Hulhudhoo - 100 housing units
- S. Maradhoo - 100 housing units
- S. Maradhoo-Feydhoo - 100 housing units
- S. Meedhoo - 100 housing units
Applicants will be charged a non-refundable registration fee of MVR 1500 to join prequalification.
The fees will be accepted from tomorrow until May 8, between 8am and 2pm via Bandeyri Pay.
Prequalification application must be submitted via the Beelan portal before 1pm on May 12, the Finance Ministry said.
