The Children's Ombudsperson's Office has announced that they will be holding the Young Entrepreneurs Fair - targeted for children - during May.
In an announcement released today, the Office said that the fair, designed for children aged between 11 and 18 years, will be held to mark International Children's Day, which falls on May 10.
The fair will be conducted from 4pm to 6pm on Saturday, May 10, at the Artificial Beach.
The fair aims to encourage creativity and entrepreneurship amongst children, the Office said, adding that this year ten slots will be issued for the fair.
No fees will be charged for registration and booking a slot, they said. The Office will also provide tents and tables for participants.
The Office said that products submitted to the fair must be independent inventions made by the child, and the children themselves will manage the selling of the products at the fair. The Office will provide necessary assistance to the children while the fair is ongoing.
Applications are now open, with the deadline set for April 24.
The online link for the application form as well as additional details will be available on the Children's Ombudsperson's Office's official Facebook and Instagram pages, they said.
Special information sessions will be held for participants ahead of the fair, the Office said, where they will be given instructions on how to manage their stalls during the fair. Notable young entrepreneurs will also visit as guest speakers during these sessions.
