During the sidelines of the ongoing Joint Arab-Islamic Summit in Saudi Arabia, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met with the CEO of Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad.
During the meeting, discussions were held on expanding collaboration and exploring further avenues for partnerships between Maldives and SFD.
Updates were also shared on ongoing projects in the Maldives which are supported by SFD, such as the expansion of Velana International Airport.
The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment towards ascertaining the projects are completed within determined timelines, and pledged to work together on future areas of common interest in the lines of achieving shared economic and developmental goals.
