Civil Court ruled today that the owner of a house in Male' City should be compensated for damages caused by the demolition of a wall after permission was granted to build it.
The incident involved the demolition of a wall at Henveiru Hudhufinifenmaa by the city council after it was erected with the council's permission to construct a wall in the alley separating two houses. The wall prevented residents of the adjacent house from accessing their home. Although the council initially allowed the construction, it later decided to demolish the wall.
