Maradhoo warehouse burns down

A fire incident occurred at a warehouse in a residence in Seenu Atoll Maradhoo.

The incident occurred at Ethumaage, in a warehouse used to store goods for sale, as well as a hand cart parked next to the shop.

Maldives National Defence Force said that the Hithadhoo Fire Station had received reports of the fire at approximately 05:46 hrs this morning. Officers immediately responded and worked on putting out the fire, they said.

The fire was finally put out within about an hour's work, MNDF said.

Although no persons were harmed in the incident, the fire caused extensive damage to property and goods.
