Two arrested in Laamu Gan for preparation and trade of bootleg liquor

Two individuals were arrested in Laamu Atoll Gan yesterday on charges related to the preparation and trade of bootleg liquor.

Police conducted a raid on Village, Gan, under court orders after receiving intelligence about drug dealing and bootleg liquor operations at the location.

During the raid, authorities recovered 24.42 grams of suspected heroin, two jars and a 5 litre bottle of suspected bootleg liquor, and equipment used for making bootleg liquor.

Police arrested two local men, aged 42 and 57, in connection with the incident.

Police stated that they are currently investigating the incident.
