PCB dismisses several board members from 10 SOE's

Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has dismissed several board members from 10 state-owned enterprises (SOEs).

Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has dismissed several board members from 10 state-owned enterprises (SOEs).

Mohamed Rasheed and Hamid Sodiq were removed from the board of Housing Development and Finance Corporation (HDFC), while Zidna Ibrahim has been appointed as a new member.

Maldives Post also saw changes, with Chairperson Mohamed Abdulla and board member Mohamed Nasheed dismissed and Hawwa Safna appointed to the board.

Three members of the Addu International Airport Company’s board including Hussain Mohamed Didi, Shathif Ali, and Shazra Shakir were also removed.

Business Center Corporation (BCC) saw the dismissal of Lamya Ibrahim and Ahmed Ifthihaar, while Najeel Ahmed was removed from the board of Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation.

Ali Nazeer was dismissed from the board of the Police Welfare Corporation, and Shuhudha Ibrahim was removed from the board of the SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC). Nahiya Mohamed was dismissed from the board of Trade Net Maldives Corporation.

Three members were removed from the board of Waste Management Corporation. They include Ali Nabeel, Musthafa Mohamed, and Ali Ikram.

Additionally, Fenaka Corporation Chairperson Ahmed Shaheer, along with board members Ibrahim Naif and Ahmed Eehab, were also dismissed.

However, PCB did not provide reasons for the dismissal of these board members.
