A Thai national has passed away while diving in the Hulhumale' beach area today.
Police reported that a 55-year-old Thai woman drowned and passed away while diving in Hulhumale' around 11:00 hrs this morning.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
It remains unclear whether the victim was a tourist visiting the Maldives or a foreign worker in the country.
