Man arrested for hitting a woman with a rock

A man has been arrested for hitting a woman on the head with a rock in Gaafu Alif atoll Villin'gili.

Police said that the person arrested regarding this altercation that occurred late last night is a 32 year old man.

The injured is a 46 year old woman. She has now been released after receiving treatment at the Gaafu Alif Atoll Hospital.

Police are investigating this incident.
