An individual has been arrested in relation to Tuesday's incident where motorcycles parked in the parking lot in the Green Zone, near the Parliament premises, were set on fire.
Police said that the person arrested is 36 year old Maldivian man.
Criminal Court has remanded him in custody for a period of 30 days.
Seven motorcycles and a van sustained damage to the fire. Of these, three motorcycles were burnt beyond use, Police said.
