Households in Addu City have suffered damages due to swell waves crashing into the island. While the walls of two houses in Hithadhoo collapsed during the swell surge, one other house had also suffered notable damages.

Three houses in Hithadhoo, Addu City have suffered significant damages due to strong swell waves.
Member of the Hithadhoo Council, Ibrahim Shinaz stated the incident that occurred this afternoon had collapsed the wall of two houses; Evening Park and Orkham Village in the district. He added that another house in the same area, Hulhudhoo Aage has also been affected by the swell waves.
