Autopsy to be conducted on body found in Bandeyri Koshi

Police have decided to conduct an autopsy on the body of the deceased young man discovered in a Bandeyri Koshi apartment yesterday.

Police announced on Monday night that conducting an autopsy had been decided on as a further step in the investigation into the death of who they now reveal to be a 30 year old Maldivian male.

The body was discovered in a search operation the police had conducted at Bandeyri Koshi in response to a report they had received.

Police have not released the identity of the deceased, nor details of the report that led them to conduct the search.

However, Mihaaru reports that the body was found in an abandoned apartment in the Bandeyri Koshi complex.

Bandeyri Koshi is a housing estate located in capital city Male', originally for military servicemen and families.
