A man discovered on the roof of a building in Male' on Thursday night is currently receiving treatment in hospital.
The man has sustained serious injuries, Police have said, citing doctors in IGMH, where he was immediately transferred.
The man has been identified as a 37 year old Maldivian male.
Police said that they responded to reports of the man being discovered on the roof of a three storey building, Kandunooge, in Maafannu ward. Adjacent to Kandunooge is a ten storey building named Sundharuge.
Police further said that it is so far unclear whether the man jumped off the taller building, or whether he fell by accident.
Further details were not revealed as the incident is currently under further investigation.
Videos circulating on social media show him lying facedown on the roof, and MNDF officers approaching him and transferring him onto a stretcher.
