Garbage on Streets: Offenders identified, made to clean up

Police have started implementing efforts to identify offenders who have discarded garbage onto the streets of Male'. Once identified, these individuals are made to remove the garbage they left on the streets and dispose of them properly.

Despite efforts of multiple agencies, the issue of Male' streets continuing to fill up with garbage - including carboard boxes, old furniture and appliances, and household waste - was not resolved even as the month of Ramadan commenced.
