India budget has a significant allocation as free aid to Maldives

India has assigned USD 788 million to be given as grants and loans to various countries within 2024. The second highest allocation has been made to the Maldives with an allocation of USD 93 million (MVR 1.4 billion).

The State budget of India has an allocation of USD 93 million (MVR 1.4 billion) to be given to the Maldives.

As per the budget, this amount will be granted as free aid.
