PG Shameem attacked on the street with a hammer

Prosecutor General Hussain Shameem, has been attacked on the road and injured.

The police stated that the attack on Shameem was reported earlier this morning. They also said that although the media has reported that he was stabbed by a sharp object, no such conclusions have been reached as of yet.

As known thus far, he was attacked with a hammer. The attack was aimed at his left forearm, which resulted in a fractured bone.

Shameem was without security when he was attacked near the Noor Mosque.

The police said that he is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
