Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has stated today that it will announce this week a decision on the complaints received regarding the granting of Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) flats.
The previous administration released a list of 4000 flat recipients under their 'Gedhoruveriya' housing scheme, which gave rise to multiple complaints about the list being submitted to the ACC.
The ACC subsequently ordered a halt on the issuance of flats on November 15, 2023. However, a media official of the commission has confirmed today that a decision will be announced within the week.
Minister of Housing, Land and Urban Development Dr Ali Haidar has also previously said that any action regarding the flats would only be conducted after the ACC completes its investigation.
FDC has also said that agreements have already been prepared, and signing between the corporation and recipients can commence in just three days after the ACC makes its decision public.
