Mihaaru newspaper signed with Ooredoo Maldives and Allied Insurance as the main sponsors of “Mihaaru Awards” late Wednesday.
The agreements were signed between main sponsors and associate partners on Wednesday night in a special ceremony held to launch the sports awards.
On behalf of Mihaaru, the agreement was signed by the Chief Operating Officer Riffath Mohamed. On behalf of Ooredoo, the agreement was signed by Head of Sales Hussain Niyaz while General Manager Ibrahim Firushan represented Allied Insurance.
In addition, major local Media ‘VMedia’ also signed as the media partner of the newly launched sports award.
Advertising partner of the award is “Think Advertising”.
Associate partners of the award include Sonee Sports, Total Fitness Group (TFG), Veligaa Hardware, BHM and Print lab.
The new Mihaaru Awards will present awards for 24 categories, thus making it the largest sports award in the Maldives.
The sports categories of the Mihaaru Awards include football, volleyball and individual sports such as athletics, table tennis, swimming and badminton. This marks the first sports awards that include individual sports to be launched in the Maldives.
