Maldivian resort employee found dead in the sea

The body of a dead adult male was discovered today in the seas close to Velassaru Resort.

Velassaru Resort is located in Kaafu Atoll, close to capital Male' City.

A Police Media Official confirmed that reports of the discovery was received at 9:11hrs today.

They further confirmed that the body has been identified as that of a 35 year old Maldivian man who was employed at a local resort.

No further details have been released so far, as the investigation is ongoing.
