Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Mohamedfulhu has handed in his resignation, to come into effect from Saturday.

After sending in his resignation letter to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Ahmed Mohamedfulhu offered words of appreciation to all who had worked with him in the services during his tenure of 3 years and 10 days.

He stated that he believed he had been able to bring about significant improvements to the prison services within his time in office.

Ahmed plans to visit all prisons and commands on his last day at work.

He was appointed to the position in January, 2020 after the dismissal of then Commissioner Abdulla Munaz.
