Transitional Committee has announced the decision to conduct a special audit on some of the government agencies and bodies.

Earlier, transitional committee teams visited various government bodies for assessment.

The transitional period spokesperson Mohamed Firuzul said that the president-elect's office teams has visited 77 government agencies in the past 21 days, and added that separate reports on each agency will be compiled regarding their conditions.

Firuzul also said that as the committee is not responsible for auditing government bodies, it would advise Auditor General's Office to launch the special audits.

The spokesperson however, did not specify the bodies selected for the special audit, which Firuzul said will be shared later.

Firuzul added the committee is currently working on creating policies based on the findings from the recent visits.
