Elections Commission (EC) has announced over 300 job opportunities ahead of the parliamentary election.

An announcement from the commission stated that the EC was seeking interested individuals for designations including security, logistics, managers, and officers. EC announced a total of 306 vacant positions.

Employment application window is open until December 31.

While EC announced seeking employees, the date for the parliamentary election has not yet been disclosed. Last Wednesday, the commission listed the six new constituencies that will be added to the parliament in next year's session.

After EC added six constituencies, the parliament seats have increased from 87 to 93.

Additionally, several constituencies have been renamed. Hulhumalé constituency has been renamed South-Hulhumalé, Kaafu Atoll Guraidhoo constituency has been changed to Maafushi constituency, Thaa Atoll Guraidhoo constituency has been changed to Guraidhoo, and Feydhoo constituency has been changed to South-Feydhoo.
