China’s president Xi Jinping congratulates president-elect Dr. Muizzu

President of People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping has congratulated president-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

President Xi expressed warm congratulations and good wishes to the newly elected president, highlighting the longstanding friendship between China and the Maldives. He said that China and the Maldives' relations are characterized by sincerity, mutual trust, and mutual assistance, making them strong partners in pursuing common development and prosperity.
