President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has made a number of pledges to Raa atoll Innamaadhoo.

During his trip to Raa atoll on his presidential campaign tour, President Solih told the residents of Innamaadhoo that the island played an important role for Maldives’ economy.

While emphasizing the island's reputation for skilled carpenters, President Solih acknowledged the challenges that they face, including securing funding to start an investment.

President Solih said that one of his objectives for the upcoming term is to streamline the process of obtaining loans for such skilled trade workers.

He said that they will frame government schemes and policies so that they can easily get financial access through various means.

Fiber workers in Innamaadhoo requested President Solih to allocate land from the nearby island of Vandhoo for their work.

President Solih said that substantial efforts have been undertaken to assign land from Vandhoo to accommodate fiber workers. He acknowledged the public's concerns about the delays in this process. The original plan for Vandhoo was to establish it as a waste management center for the region.

The President expressed his commitment to resolving the matter and finding a more suitable solution for fiber work to be carried out on Vandhoo.

President Solih pledged to establish office buildings and enhance the facilities of the school in the near future. Additionally, he assured the development of a youth center for recreational activities and the construction of flats or houses on the island to address the housing shortage.
