The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has decided to conduct a survey to analyse how it can improve services for Hiyaa Flat residents.

The decision to conduct the survey was made by HDC in response to feedback from residents about issues and complaints they have encountered while living in the flats. The survey is set to begin on Monday, February 27.

Data will be gathered through door-to-door visits by HDC staff and an online form made available to residents.

The corporation has said that they will not be asked about their income and bank account details. The employees taking part in the survey will also provide their credentials to participants.

If HDC requires additional information from residents, they will only be contacted through official numbers. Residents can also contact HDC's call centre hotline at 1516 if they have any complaints about the survey.

Currently, over 30,000 residents live in the high-rise towers developed in Hulhumalé Phase 2. When residents initially moved in, several basic services were not yet available. However, since then, most of these, including all utility services, have been established.

HDC hopes to use the survey to improve and develop its services to better meet the needs of the residents of the Hiyaa Flats.
