The Maldives Parliament will open for the 2023 sessions on February 6, 2023. The opening of the parliament will include the presidential address as well.

The last sitting of the parliament was held on November 28, 2022, after which it went into recess.

Hassan Ziyau, the Media and Communications Director of the parliament, confirmed that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will be delivering the presidential address. This will be his last address before his term concludes.

A public holiday is always announced for the day the parliament opening.
