The BML Hackathon came to an end yesterday night with the selection of three champions, who offered straightforward solutions to improve the customer experience.

The winning concepts in the ceremony held last night at Hotel Jen were Personal Finance Manager, Expense Tracker, and Digital Onboarding Solutions.

Ahmed Mahfooz, Hussain Zayaan, and Moosa Irushaan submitted their proposal for "Digital Onboarding Solutions". By digitising the services that clients can apply for, the notion is focused on enhancing customer experience.

Mohamed Athik Ali Riza, Fathmath Areen Naseem, and Mohamed Yaniu Rameez submitted the idea of "Expense Tracker". The concept for the idea is based on a user-friendly platform for tracking expenses by customers.

Mohamed Jailam, Mohamed Eeman, and Ibrahim Hussain Shareef submitted Personal "Finance Manager". The goal is to provide an automated system for clients to track their own finances.

The winning teams will get to work in the BML Innovation Lab for a period of six months. The teams get an allowance of MVR 20,000 per month and they can work around their ideas for a contracted long-term period.

The 48-hour hackathon attracted more than 30 participants who worked together to create innovative fintech concepts and solutions to improve operational performance and customer experience.

BML's In-charge and Acting Managing Director, Aishath Noordeen stated, "We are thrilled to see the fintech community come together for this Hackathon and the interest from developers have provided creative solutions that will help us give a better banking experience. We are thrilled to welcome the winners at our Innovation Lab and work with the teams to make their ideas a reality."

Aishath Zamra, BML’s Marketing Manager remarked that it was challenging to select three winners because all of the ideas submitted were fiercely competitive. She continued by saying that BML's objective was to make every effort to have the solutions permanently onboard to enhance their customers' experiences.
