President appoints former NSPA head as Aasandha MD

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih appoints Ismail Azzam Wajeeh as the new Managing Director of Aasandha Company.

Mr. Wajeeh's appointment as the state-backed insurance company's head follows the reappointment of its outgoing MD Ms. Mariyam Shafeeq as the new National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Prior to his appointment as the Aasandha MD, Wajeeh filled the previous position of Ms. Shafeeq. Wajeeh had been the CEO of NSPA during the previous administration of former president Abdulla Yameen.
