Baarah MP, Fenaka DMD become MDP Chairpersons of Finance, Administration

Two of the only nominees for the MDP Committee Chairpersons positions, manage automatic wins for their respective nominated designations.

The ruling, Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) opened nomination window for two Chairperson positions on previous Monday, July 18.

Current Deputy Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation and Upper-North province president Ibrahim Waheed won the seat for the Chairperson - Head of Administration.

The outgoing member from the designation is Hulhumale' MP Ali Niyaz.

On the other hand, Baarah MP Ahmed Abdulla managed to extend tenure of his already held Chairperson - Head of Finance desgination.

Previously, MDP announced the Chairperson elections will be held on August 19, during the ruling party's congress.

However, any room for elections were deemed unnecessary with only one member nominating their names for each of the two vacant designations.
