Former Minister of Finance Dr. Ahmed Inaz has been appointed as the new chairman to the board of Maldives Pension Administration Office (MPAO).
Inaz had held the cabinet post during former President Mohamed Nasheed's administration. He was appointed for the designation after Athifa Ali's three year term as Chairperson of Maldives Pension Administration Office came to an end.
The chairperson of the Pension Board will be appointed by the President from among the names approved by the Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA) after being elected by a special selection committee.
Eligibility for the position is assessed based on notable experience and First Degree qualification in areas of either economy, finance or law.
