Hulhumale' Magistrate Court has ordered the chef who is accused of killing a Bangladeshi colleague to death at the Hulhumale' Khanji Restaurant to be remanded to 15 days in custody.

Pakistani chef Mohamed Abid, 26, is accused of attacking a Bangladeshi national at the Khanji Restaurant.

He was apprehended from the beach area of Hulhumale' Phase two at last night after the attack.

A source told Mihaaru that the Pakistani chef who carried out the attack was always very angry and has previously quarreled with the staff at Khanji as well.

The deceased was taken to hospital at 5:30 p.m. on April 16, however, it is believed that the victim was stabbed about one and a half hour prior this. The suspected attacker had several hours to escape, and the crime scene was destroyed by the time the police arrived. The blood of the deceased was cleaned from all parts of the restaurant. The body of the deceased was also cleaned with water.
