Addu Mayor's car vandalized with anit-India slogan

Addu City Mayor Ali Nizar's car has been sprayed with anti-India slogan "India Out".

Nizar said that the case has been reported to the police.

Nizar said that it was a very uncivilized act and that the opposition must be held accountable for it.

"It is a political slogan used to keep the opposition active. It aims to create conflict amongst the public," Nizar said.

He said that the car was not sprayed when he arrived at the house around 2 am on Friday night. Nizar said it was believed that this was done after that.

No one has been arrested in connection to the case so far.

The opposition held a mass protest in Male' City on Friday against the presence of Indian military personnel. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has also visited Addu city yesterday and inaugurated the police training center built in Hithadhoo with the grant assistance of the Indian government.
