Maldives signs with Emirates to promote Maldives as a tourist destination in the world on Monday.

Spokesperson of the President's Office, Mabrook Azeez said the agreement was signed between the Ministry of Tourism, Visit Maldives, and Emirate Airlines to promote Maldives in the global market. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, who was in Dubai then to participate in Dubai 2020, also participated in the ceremony held to sign between the two countries.

He later met Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed ibn Rashid Al Maktoum and visited Maldives' pavilion in the expo.

Maldives' pavilion was established in the sustainability district of the expo. It allows for visitors to experience Maldivian history, culture, natural life, cuisine, and visual arts.

Maldives' pavilion also includes themes the country has been advoacting for such as sustainable development and the dangers of climate change.
